Road Safety for people in Africa

From school zones to city streets, Amend builds safer and healthier mobility environments across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Amend is a non-profit organization working across Sub-Saharan Africa to reduce road deaths and injuries. We design and implement proven road safety interventions — from traffic calming and safer pedestrian infrastructure to policy reform and community engagement.

Our team of engineers, urban planners, and community-relations specialists combines technical expertise with deep local knowledge to deliver lasting change. We work directly with governments, municipalities, and local partners to build safer streets, safer school zones, and healthier mobility environments for everyone.

In a region where road traffic injury is one of the leading causes of death, that funding translates into real, measurable change.
